Terms of Service

Last updated: August 18, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of DocRelay, including our website, applications, APIs, and related services (the “Service”). By creating an account, calling our APIs, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

This page is sample content for a static demo site. Have qualified counsel review and adapt it before production use.

1. The Service

DocRelay helps you convert documents, images, PDFs, and receipts into structured JSON using a combination of automated extraction and optional human review. Results may be delivered via REST, WebSocket, webhooks, Zapier, or other interfaces we make available. Features, limits, and SLAs depend on your plan.

2. Accounts and eligibility

You must provide accurate registration information and keep credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account and API keys. You must be able to form a binding contract and use the Service only in compliance with applicable law.

3. Customer content

You retain ownership of documents and data you submit (“Customer Content”). You grant us a limited license to host, process, transmit, and display Customer Content solely to provide and secure the Service, including AI processing and human review where enabled. You represent that you have all rights necessary to submit Customer Content and that doing so does not violate law or third-party rights.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

5. APIs and integrations

API access is subject to authentication, quotas, and documentation we publish. You are responsible for securing API keys and for systems you connect (including Zapier and webhooks). We are not responsible for third-party platforms you choose to integrate.

6. Plans, fees, and trials

Paid plans, usage limits, and trial terms are described at purchase or in an order form. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law or expressly stated. We may suspend access for non-payment or material breach.

7. Intellectual property

The Service, branding, software, and documentation are owned by DocRelay / VSDevs or our licensors. Except for the limited rights granted to use the Service, no rights are transferred to you.

8. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. Extraction accuracy depends on document quality and configuration; human review improves but does not guarantee perfect results. Demo environments may be incomplete or reset without notice.

9. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, DATA, OR BUSINESS. OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID TO US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM.

10. Indemnity

You will defend and indemnify us against claims arising from Customer Content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach, risk to the Service or others, or as required by law. Provisions that by nature should survive (including IP, disclaimers, and limitations) will survive termination.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms by posting a revised version. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the changes, except where additional consent is required by law.
